Turtle Bay Exploration Park

We just got home from a little 1,200 mile trip through Oregon and Northern California. We hooked up the little camp trailer and hit the road for a week of family time. By the end of it, Modern Man and I were ready to get home, but the boys wanted to keep on truckin’. Here are some highlights from our trip to Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, CA where we met my sister for the day.

Turtle Bay Exploration park was super cool. I wish we had had more time there. The boys were having a blast, especially inside where they have puzzles and electricity experiments and fun exploratory things for kids to do. Modern Munchkin was not impressed with the bird house like I thought he would be. Once a bird landed on his head he was over the whole thing. They had a few animals outside but it made me sad to see them in such tiny enclosures.

The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay is a very cool suspension bridge. It gave Modern Man the opportunity to explain to Modern Boy about suspension, tension and frequency. All of which was over my head, and I’m much older than 4. Oh well, it was pretty and I can appreciate that. 😉
